Terra.do, an online school for climate change is set to launch the second cohort of Climate Change for VCs, a six-week course for venture investors that presents the latest in climate science and solutions, and explores ways that investors can make a meaningful and potentially profitable difference in the climate crisis.  The first cohort in February was oversubscribed and had fellows from a16z, Lightspeed, Techstars and others.

Brelyon is a deep tech, venture-backed Silicon Valley-based startup that is introducing a new category of displays. Brelyon’s technology addresses the size limitations of existing computer monitors and the lack of comfort and poor image quality of head mounted displays seen in the Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) space. The startup aims to change the future of work and play.

Brelyon is a Propel(x) alumni company which closed fundraising through the platform in February 2020.
Mesentech is a pre-clinical platform company developing drug-conjugates targeted to bone. The company's first product is a regenerative medicine product that targets mesenchymal stem-cells with a potent (sub nano-molar) prostaglandin mimetic that is released selectively in bone resulting in bone-regeneration. This drug can be used systemically to treat low-bone-density disorders or for local indications such as fracture-healing.

Synthetic voices, as unique as fingerprints
Many individuals  with severe speech disorders use a computerized device to communicate. Yet they choose between only a few voice options. That's why Stephen Hawking had an American accent, and why many people end up with the same voice, often to incongruous effect.
Speech scientist Rupal Patel wanted to do something about this, and in this wonderful talk she shares her work to engineer unique voices for the voiceless.
